Lucy Reback graduated from Bard College with a BFA in Photography in 2020. Working primarily with the large format view camera, Lucy works and studies in New York City while photographing in Upstate, New York; living between the two. Lucy’s work revolves around family and the ways in which the camera complicates the mythology of family; an articulation of photographs as a performance of being on the ‘inside’.
Reback is a recipient of the Bard College Photography Scholar Prize, the Woman’s Studio Workshop Grant, the *PALM Prize Shortlist and received an honorable mention for the 2024 Innovative Grant.
